Bringing Authentic Christian faith to the Northland!

Important Announcement!

We Are Moving!

New Location

We are very pleased to announce that going forward we will be holding services at St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church  310 N. 72nd St., Kansas City, KS 66112. The wonderful folks at St. Archangel Michael currently don’t have a fulltime Priest and we don’t have a worship space and thus we are very grateful that they have opened their beautiful church to us. Fr. Michael Medis and Fr. Chris Rowe will be serving the Divine Liturgy on alternate Sunday’s.   Divine Liturgy begins at 10:00AM, preceded by the reading of the Hours, Confession at 9:30AM. The services will be predominately in English, but we will recite the Creed and the Lord’s Prayer in Serbian and English.  If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call. More information will be posted on this website in the future.

If you are new to the Orthodox faith, we invite you to visit our Inquirers page.  There you will find more information about what you will find and experience in the Orthodox Church.  If you have any questions about Orthodoxy, please feel free to email Fr. Mike Medis.

You are invited to join us for Divine Liturgy on Sunday mornings at 10:00.  Afterwards, please stay for our Coffee Hour and meet the friendly parishoners. You won't want to miss a smile and chat with Father Mike Medis either.  So what are you waiting for!

Message From Fr. Michael

Thank you for visiting our website. We hope you can also visit us in person. Our worship is both spiritual and sacred touching the core of our humanity. We believe that with prayer and attention we can awaken the cosmic religious feeling within us and keep it alive. This is what Albert Einstein said is the most important function of art and science. Our religious art through icons and sacred matter is what becomes windows into heaven. Ultimately, they are to reflect the image of the kingdom of heaven that is within you and me. Our spirituality is also grounded in Holy Scripture and Tradition of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. We believe, however, that our tradition is a Living Faith from the dead and not a dead faith of the living. Therefore, we pray Christ will continually give us light and life.

Grace & Peace be with you all,

Rev. Fr. Michael Medis
